Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol team across the UK. You’ll deliver expert roadside repairs, perform diagnostics and emergency support with confidence, helping members when they need us most.

Starting and ending at home, you’ll be provided with an RAC van, fuel card, uniform and diagnostic kit. A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience are required to apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end each day at home while attending calls.
• Work with the RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
