Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You will deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from home with a fully equipped RAC van and tools provided.

The role requires a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with <6 points. Competitive base pay and strong overtime potential are on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end each day from home and manage calls with drive-time efficiency.
• Receive RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit on joining.
