Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK. You’ll be based from home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and full uniform provided.

This role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. You’ll handle fault diagnostics, tyre/battery issues, and breakdown support, delivering expert service with a calm, confident approach

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose issues and provide quick, confident solutions on call.
• Ensure high-quality member service while maintaining safety and efficiency.
