Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and use diagnostic equipment to get members back on the road with confidence.

The role offers a structured development programme, an opportunity to achieve IMI accreditation, and a competitive package including base pay around £41,600 with a realistic OTE of £66,000 and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
• Deliver vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Use latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly and safely.
• Work independently to solve problems and provide confident solutions to RAC members.
