Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work to quickly get members back on the road with confidence, combining technical skill with excellent customer service.

You'll be supported by a structured development pathway, opportunities for IMI accreditation, and a benefits package that rewards loyalty and performance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults quickly and communicate solutions to members.
