Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, fix issues on the road and help members continue their journeys safely with proactive customer service.

You’ll work independently, with demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime. A structured development pathway and IMI accreditation opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to get customers moving fast.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance during breakdowns to keep members safe.
