Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

You’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs at the roadside, and provide quick, confident solutions while maintaining high standards of customer service.

The role offers a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 and a structured development path, including IMI accreditation and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and guidance to RAC members.
