RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. The role emphasizes independent fault diagnosis, confident problem solving, and a strong focus on customer service.

You’ll be supported with a structured development programme and opportunities to achieve IMI accreditation, while earning a base of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000 and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

• Diagnose faults and perform expert roadside repairs.
• Provide diagnostics and fault finding for members.”
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance during breakdowns.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and support members’ journeys.
