Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members when they need us most.

You’ll work with modern diagnostic tools and a structured development pathway, with opportunities for overtime and industry-recognised accreditation through IMI. Join a team that values growth and customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.
