Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions to keep members moving, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

The role offers structured development, hands-on learning and IMI accreditation opportunities, with demand-led shifts and potential overtime to enhance earnings.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and provide quick, confident solutions to members.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and get members back on the road safely.
