Job summary
RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions and reassure members when they need us most.
You'll work independently, combine technical know-how with great customer service, and use the latest diagnostic tools. The role offers demand-led shifts, progression through IMI accreditation and a pathway for long-term career growth.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
- Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- And a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Responsibilities
- As Roadside Technician, diagnose faults and perform expert mechanical roadside repair and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassure RAC members when they need help most.
- Work with latest diagnostic technology and maintain high standards of customer service.
