Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults independently and provide quick, confident solutions to help members continue their journeys safely.

You’ll undergo a structured development pathway with hands-on learning and opportunities to attain IMI accreditation, advancing your career within a trusted, long‑standing motor services provider.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify faults and provide quick, confident solutions.
