Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide quick, confident solutions, and reassure members when they need us most.

You’ll work independently, applying diagnostic tech to get vehicles back on the road and contribute to a structured development pathway including IMI accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and solve problems to help members continue their journeys.
• Use the latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road quickly.

Education
