Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick solutions and reassure members when they need us most.

The role offers a structured development pathway, ongoing training and IMI accreditation opportunities, with a base salary of £36,400 and realistic OTE of £61,000. Auto-enroll pension and generous holidays are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members.
• Diagnose faults, diagnose issues and help members get back on the road safely.
