Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division, covering local areas while starting and finishing the day at home. You will perform diagnostics, roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members get back on the road with confidence and speed.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit, with strong base pay and realistic growth through overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, then work locally to assist RAC members.
• Equip and assist with tools, diagnostic kit and vehicle support to get the job done.
