Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division in the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members during breakdowns, starting and ending each day from home.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and a diagnostic kit, with a market base salary and realistic OTE. A UK driving licence with <6 points is essential, and 2+ years' experience qualifies you for this role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.
• Role involves mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert roadside repair and diagnostics to fix faults on first visit.
• Provide emergency breakdown support and safe advice to RAC members.
• Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and complete repairs.
