Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish your day at home, applying your hands-on skills to quickly resolve faults and reassure members in their time of need.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, tools and diagnostic kit. Competitive base salary (£42,921.87 incl night allowance) and realistic OTE (£43k–£53k) await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside with your technical expertise and member service.
