Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, delivering fast, reliable service to RAC members.

You’ll work from home starts and end at home, with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided. Eligible candidates have a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, along with a full UK driving

Qualifications

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need help.
• Tackle fault-finding, tyre changes, and other roadside challenges.
• Start and finish your day at the member's location or home base as required.
