Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division in the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, delivering trusted service while starting and finishing from home and serving a defined local cluster.

The role requires Level 2 LV Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence. RAC provides a van, tools, and full uniform.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish each day at home, travelling to roadside calls within your local area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and maintain high member service on every call.
