Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our patrol team across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and support members with confidence and care, delivering fast, reliable service.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll start each job from home and work earned overtime with a realistic £60k OTE on top of a base £36,400 salary, plus industry-leading benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform quick, confident solutions while reassuring members.
• Access RAC van, tools, and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
