Job summary

RAC is seeking a skilled Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles on the roadside. You’ll work within our Patrol division, delivering rapid, confident service while keeping members moving across the UK.

Start and end your day from home with an RAC van, fuel card, and full tools provided. You will need Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years’ experience as a technician, plus a clean UK licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Ability to diagnose and repair roadside vehicle faults under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Work on fault diagnostics, flat batteries, tyre changes, and more.
