Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join their Patrol division across the UK. You will diagnose and repair roadside faults, provide emergency breakdown support, and work from your home for daily calls. A Level 2 qualification with 2+ years' experience and a valid UK driving licence are essential.

Expect a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) with a realistic OTE of £61,000, plus overtime opportunities and a range of benefits. Training and equipment are provided to support your success.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• Customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home, handling challenges head-on while delivering excellent member service.
• Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance when RAC members need assistance most.
