Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members quickly.

You’ll start and end your day at home, receive a RAC van, tools, and full uniform. We offer a strong base salary (£36,400) with a realistic OTE of around £60,000, and a benefits package including shares, breakdown cover, pension, and generous holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Start and finish each call on the member’s roadside location with swift, confident solutions.
