Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division in the Cheltenham cluster. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and support members in their local area, starting and finishing each shift from home with a RAC van and full tooling provided.

You’ll need a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician. A full UK driving licence with <6 points is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years' experience
• Or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics to restore vehicles quickly
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Work within the Patrol division to assist members on the roadside
• Start and finish daily from home and manage local calls in your cluster area
