Job summary
RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, covering a local area from home with a RAC van and diagnostic kit provided. You’ll join a specialist patrol team delivering quick, confident solutions to members across the UK.
Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician) and a full UK driving licence with under 6 points. Expect shift flexibility and a strong base salary with achievable OTE.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
- Start and finish days at home, covering local areas to get RAC members back on the road.
- Utilise provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit to complete calls.
