Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, working to get members back on the road quickly.

Based on a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification with 2+ years’ experience, you’ll enjoy shifts averaging 40 hours, with overtime options. You’ll start and finish at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, tools, and full uniform provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as Roadside Technician or Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members.
