Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work with your own RAC van and equipment, starting and finishing from home, with demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week.

You’ll need a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, plus a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• You’ll be equipped with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
