Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to keep the UK moving. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll perform diagnostic and roadside repairs with confidence and a customer‑focused approach.

You’ll start and end at home, work ~40 hours weekly with optional overtime, and receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit to support every call.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Experience as Roadside Technician or Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and breakdown support.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on site.
• Operate with RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided.
