Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician based in the UK. You will diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, delivering emergency breakdown support across the country with a RAC van, fuel card and full uniform provided.

Start and finish at the driver’s home, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime. The role requires a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience or 5+ years as a vehicle technician, plus a full UK driving

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home, with your own RAC van, fuel card, and essential tools provided.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
