Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. The role requires a Level 2 qualification and at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, with a full UK driving licence and a customer-focused approach.

You will start and end each day at home, operate from your RAC van, and have access to a fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical experience.
• Customer-focused approach and a full UK driving licence are required.
• Post-qualification experience in technical, electrical, and diagnostic work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions for RAC members on the roadside.
• Start and finish days at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
