Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician in Luton to diagnose and repair vehicles on the roadside. You’ll work from home, start and finish at your driveway, and operate a RAC van with full support and equipment. A Level 2 qualification or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience are required.

You’ll provide quick, confident solutions for breakdowns, with market-competitive pay and strong overtime opportunities. The role includes tools, uniform, fuel card, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Strong diagnostic and repair capability for roadside faults.
• Good customer service and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and carry out quick, confident solutions for members.
• Represent RAC with professionalism and deliver high-quality service on every call.
