Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician in Luton. You will diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and assist members nationwide. Expect 40-hour weeks with optional overtime, and you’ll start and end your day at home with an RAC van, fuel card and full kit supplied.

The role requires Level 2 LV Maintenance or 5+ years as a Technician/Mechanic, plus a clean UK driving licence. Join a historic team with strong benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish day at home, safe and efficient callouts.
• Be equipped with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
