Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll work independently, delivering fast, confident solutions while helping members stay on the road.

We offer a structured development pathway, IMI accreditation and a competitive package with a base of £36,400 and an OTE around £61,000, plus overtime options and generous holidays.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and provide quick, confident solutions for members.
• Work independently to help members continue their journeys safely.
