Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults and perform mechanical roadside repairs, delivering expert breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, provide rapid solutions and support members during their journeys.

The role combines technical work with strong customer service, using the latest diagnostics to get members back on the road safely. Starting from the driveway, you’ll work 40-hour weeks with demand-led shifts and optional overtime, supported by a structured

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical roadside repairs
• Provide vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Diagnose faults independently and deliver quick, confident solutions for members
• Use latest diagnostic technology to identify faults and return members to the road

Skills
