Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK, helping members get back on the road quickly and safely. You’ll work independently with the latest diagnostics and deliver efficient, confident solutions in varied conditions.

Join a development-focused team with hands-on learning and opportunities to gain IMI accreditation, supported by structured training, flexible shifts, and overtime where available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• As a Roadside Technician, you’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You’ll diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely.
