Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician across the UK to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, helping members stay safe and mobile.

You’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and provide reassuring service on the roadside, with demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and optional overtime. Full training and IMI accreditation are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and perform quick, confident roadside repairs to get members back on the road.
• Provide clear, reassuring customer service and professional advice at the roadside.
• Work independently to diagnose faults, solve problems and support members' journeys.
