Road Freight Coordinator (Imports) | Manchester | Up to £37,000 per annum

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Road Freight Operator with strong knowledge of European road transport, imports and customs procedures to join a fast‑paced, client‑focused logistics company based in Trafford Park, Manchester.

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: Monday to Friday - 08:00-17:00

Salary: Up to £37,000

Day to day

• Overseeing all UK import road freight pricing requests, bookings and related queries
• Prepare and respond to quotation requests promptly and accurately.
• Work closely with Europe‑based teams to ensure timely EU collections and UK deliveries, proactively updating clients as needed as well as assisting with UK cross‑docking requirements.
• Produce accurate invoices and issue them to clients via the internal system.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on service excellence and repeat business

Requirements

• Proven European road freight experience with a UK based forwarder
• Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
• Experience in Road Imports
• Customs awareness and understanding of current export procedures
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving approach
• The ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast‑paced environment
• A genuine passion for customer service and relationship management
