Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of the insurance market and risk, particularly activities of a Lloyd’s syndicate.
  • Keen interest in risk management concepts.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage diary and schedule meetings for CRO and Portfolio Leads.

Compensation: £33,000 - £37,100 / year

Description

To support the CRO and the Portfolio Leads to assist with:

  • Diary management
  • Arranging meetings
  • Recording notes and actions from meetings
  • Making simple updates to information in AstaPoint risk system
  • Assist CRO in production of draft reporting
  • Support risk team in business partnering with other departments
  • Preparation of summary points and papers for CRO for key meetings
Key Responsibilities

Diary Management

  • Scheduling and moving meetings in calendar for CRO and for Portfolio Leads where necessary.

Note taking and reporting

  • Assist the CRO in taking notes of meetings and key actions, including through use of CoPilot, for key meetings.
  • Prepare basic drafts of reports for CRO

AstaPoint

  • Run basic reports from AstaPoint such as risk register or risk events. Understand process for entering risk events in AstaPoints and demonstrate to others where necessary.
  • Preparing risk reports based on AstaPoint data.

Business partnering

  • Explaining to other departments how risk events should be entered in AstaPoint system, with basic demonstrations offered where necessary. Request risk appetite and KRI data from other departments.
  • Follow up with other departments where they are behind with control attestations.

Risk Sponsors

  • Update and maintain KRI and appetite reporting as required.
  • Contribute to risk appetite development and KRI measurement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  1. A basic understanding of the insurance market and risk, with a basic understanding of the activities of a Lloyd’s syndicate
  2. A keen interest in the understanding of risk management and control concepts.
  3. A basic understanding of Solvency II and other regulatory requirements; an understanding of how they impact on the business desirable.
  4. Ability to use systems and software programs needed to perform responsibilities of the role.
  5. Experience of MS Office (Word Excel, PowerPoint) to an intermediate level desirable.
  6. Experience of the AstaPoint (Decision Focus) risk management system is desirable.
