The ideal candidate should have HCPC registration and experience with PACS systems. Join a highly rated organization committed to patient care and staff development.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 6 PACS Deputy (Senior Radiographer) to join our small dedicated friendly PACS team. We are looking for a well‑motivated and flexible radiographer who will be based at King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton‑in‑Ashfield, who is looking to gain skills within the Picture Archiving and Communication System team but also to keep a clinical commitment.
The Radiology Department is fully digital throughout, with mobile digital units; there are also three CT scanners with a third at Newark Hospital. We currently have one static MRI, with a building project to increase to three in 2026 together with a CDC opening in 2026. This post will rotate within the main radiology Department with the opportunity, depending on skill and experience, to rotate through other modalities.
Approximately 50 % of the role will be working within the PACS team. The service is committed to the continued education of our radiographers and CPD is actively supported.
We are an award‑winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care.
