  • Manage stock and arrange for collection of materials from other locations within Aberdeen.
  • Handling all transactions associated with the service, including recording accurate weights of materials, reconciliation of stock, processing returns etc..
  • Ensure goods have their value maximized and all rejected items are disposed of appropriately.
  • Make certain that collections and deliveries are arranged in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain the security of the Re-Use facility, including stock and buildings.
  • You'll be expected to promote the values of the service and the sustainable nature of the re-use scheme in Aberdeen, at the same time as providing excellent customer experience to encourage repeat custom and the smooth and profitable running of the facility.
What are the requirements?
  • You will be passionate about the environment and in particular this re-use project, with prior retail experience and a real enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service.
  • Either you will have knowledge of recycling and upcycling, or willing to rapidly develop it, but you should have an understanding of maintaining stock, merchandising and the ability to handle financial aspects of retail;
  • A flexible attitude to work since weekend work will be required.
  • The confidence to take control of the new Re-Use service and help present goods and maximise their value through using initiative to communicate new ideas for upcycling to customers.
  • Driving licence is essential
  • Excellent teamwork skills as you will also work closely with site staff on the HWRCs.
