Job description
Retrofit Project Manager

Location: Northumberland & Newcastle (with regional travel)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent / Fixed-term (depending on project requirements)

We are seeking an experienced Retrofit Project Manager to oversee the delivery of retrofit and energy efficiency projects across properties in Northumberland and Newcastle.

You will be responsible for managing retrofit works from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with PAS 2035 and funding requirements where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing end-to-end delivery of retrofit projects across occupied and void properties
  • Coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with PAS 2035, Building Regulations, and health & safety standards
  • Managing programmes, budgets, and reporting on progress and performance
  • Liaising with clients, residents, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption
  • Overseeing quality control, inspections, and handovers
  • Identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing retrofit, decarbonisation, or energy efficiency projects
  • Strong understanding of PAS 2035 and retrofit delivery frameworks
  • Experience working within social housing, property services, or construction
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Retrofit Coordinator / Retrofit Assessor qualification
  • Experience with SHDF, ECO, or other government-funded retrofit schemes
  • Construction or building-related qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ or equivalent)
