Retail Supervisor - Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Cape Hill, Smethwick. The role is a permanent part‑time position, working a variety of shifts with a minimum of 20 hours each week, generally including some weekend work.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay: £13.11 per hour (guaranteed minimum 20 hours, earning at least £262 per week). Overtime may be available.
• Hours: 20 per week.

Responsibilities
  • Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

  • A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
  • To be a ‘people person’ who finds it easy to get on with everyone and is able to build strong working relationships with the people you work with.
  • Trustworthy and reliable – an important part of a small team that customers and colleagues depend on.
  • Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or other similar industries is desirable but we welcome applicants wanting to take the first steps in a retail management career.
Contract Information

Position: PTSV, Hours: 20 per week.
