Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Asda Cannock to deliver exceptional customer service and create a safe shopping environment. The role involves patrolling the store, using CCTV, and liaising with store management and the police as needed.

Pay rate is £13.10 per hour with mornings, evenings and weekends shifts. Mitie offers a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, sick leave and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering Customer Service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable communication style for different people groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capability in the use of technology.
• Good attention to detail.
• High level of enthusiasm and passion.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Record activity on correct documents per Client and Company procedures.
• Follow site risk assessments to ensure safe activities.
• Maintain high personal and professional standards as a Mitie employee.
• Create a safe working environment free from crime and safety issues.
• Provide a polite greeting and excellent customer service.
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers.
• Deliver industry leading customer service.
• Deter violence and public order offences.
• Conduct store patrols and CCTV-based crime reduction.
• Liaise with store management and police when required.
• Wear Body Worn CCTV to support safety.
