Job summary

Mitie is seeking Retail Security Officers for Asda Tipton to provide exceptional customer service while keeping the store safe from crime. The role operates across mornings, evenings and weekends with a pay rate of £13.10 per hour.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, patrol the store, assist customers, and use CCTV as needed to deter and reduce crime. Full uniform and professional conduct are expected at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Customer Service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptable communication style for diverse groups
• Able to work in a fast-moving service business
• Tech-savvy and able to use technology
• Strong attention to detail
• High enthusiasm and passion for the role
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential
• SIA Licence (Public Space Surveillance) desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry-leading customer service
• Maintain clean, tidy appearance in full uniform
• Deter violence and maintain public order
• Conduct store patrols
• Utilise CCTV to reduce crime and stock loss
• Liaise with store management teams
• Report incidents and crime using our technology
• Coordinate with Police and crime partnerships as required
• Operate Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety
