Job summary

Mitie Group plc is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Asda Cannock to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You will patrol the store, deter crime, use CCTV, and report incidents in line with procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced service setting; SIA licence is desirable but not essential. Uniform provided and training available.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Adaptable communication style for diverse people groups.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business.
• Capable with technology and security systems.
• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about service and safety.
• Previous security experience is desirable but not required.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining safety.
• Deter violence and manage store safety in collaboration with colleagues.
• Patrol the store and monitor security systems (CCTV).
• Record incidents accurately on official documents per procedures.
• Liaise with store management and police when required to support safety.
