Job summary

Mitie Group plc is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Asda Cannock to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment. You will patrol the store, deter crime, use CCTV, and report incidents in line with procedures.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced service setting; SIA licence is desirable but not essential. Uniform provided and training available.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with store management and police when required to support safety.

Pay rate: £13.10 per hour

Hours: Mornings, evenings and weekends

Retail Security Officer- Asda

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Work to the Assignment Instructions ensuring that all activity is accurately recorded on the correct documents, in line with both the Client's and the Company's Quality Procedures
• To follow the site-specific Risk Assessments ensuring all activities are completed in a safe manner
• Set and maintain the highest personal and professional standards as an employee of MITIE and adopt a total quality approach to every aspect of your work, colleagues and clients
• To create a safe working environment, free from crime and health and safety related issues for colleagues, contractors and customers
• To add a polite greeting and excellent customer service
• Provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors and customers

Main Duties:

• To deliver industry leading customer service
• To be clean, tidy and properly dressed wearing full uniform
• To deter violence and public order offences
• To conduct patrols of the store
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss
• Liaise with the store management teams
• To report incidents and crime through our leading technology
• Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store
• To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
