Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Asda Shrewsbury to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The role pays £13.10 per hour and requires you to work mornings, evenings and weekends, wearing full uniform and presenting a professional image.

You will perform store patrols, monitor CCTV, report incidents and liaise with store management and local police when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Customer Service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptable communication style for diverse groups
• Ability to work in a fast-moving services business
• Capability in the use of technology
• Good attention to detail
• High level of enthusiasm and passion
• Previous security experience is desirable but not essential
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service
• Be clean, tidy and properly dressed in full uniform
• Deter violence and public order offences
• Conduct patrols of the store
• Utilise CCTV to support crime reduction and stock loss prevention
• Liaise with store management
• Report incidents and crime via our technology
• Cooperate with police and crime partnerships as needed
• Wear Body Worn CCTV to support safety
