Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking Retail Security Officers for Asda Donnington Wood in Telford. You will deliver excellent customer service and maintain a safe shopping environment, patrolling the store, monitoring CCTV and liaising with management and police as required.

The role includes mornings, evenings and weekend shifts with a pay rate of £13.10 per hour. Candidates with prior security or customer service experience are welcomed and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering customer service in a retail or similar environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable communication style for diverse people groups.
• Ability to use technology to record activity and report incidents.
• Public Space Surveillance SIA licence is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver industry leading customer service in-store.
• Deterrence of violence and public order offences.
• Conduct patrols and monitor CCTV to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Liaise with store management, police and partners as needed.
• Report incidents and use company systems to document actions.
