Job summary

M&S is seeking a Security Officer to create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues in Belfast and surrounding areas. You will stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism and take pride in protecting our stores, people and products.

In a fast-paced retail setting you will be alert and responsive, using store technology and body-worn cameras. Strong communication and a proactive mindset are essential, with flexibility to adapt to daily store needs.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• Willingness to provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Keep stores safe and secure, prevent loss and respond to incidents.
• Identify risks and support safe ways of working in the store environment.
• Be digitally confident with store technology and body-worn cameras.
• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers with a welcoming attitude.
• Work with store colleagues to maintain high standards and a positive environment.
