Marks & Spencer is hiring a Security Officer to help create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues in our stores. You'll stay calm under pressure, lead with professionalism, and deliver great service while protecting people, products and the store.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.
• All candidates must be able to provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert and ready to step in when needed.
• Deliver welcoming customer service while supporting colleagues.
• Help keep stores safe and secure, prevent loss and respond to incidents, identify risks and support safe working practices.
• Utilise store technology and body-worn cameras to support operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure and act professionally in challenging situations.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards and create a positive environment.
